Struggling and Surviving Journal 2: Depression
Hi everyone! Welcome back to Struggling and Surviving! For any newcomers, this is a series of journal entries focusing on multiple different mental disorders like depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. It will feature entries by deviants detailing their personal experiences, coping skills, hotlines, and anything else I think might help.. The goal is education about these disorders and hopefully to make people struggling with this feel like they're not alone. (Sorry for the late entry, had a crazy weekend!)

My Thoughts on Cringe Compilations
Some may see cringe compilations as a form of entertainment on YouTube, while others may see it as an insult to the artist. And today I have decided to give my opinion on cringe compilations. This isn't much of a serious issue on Deviantart or YouTube, but I feel like it's one that should be discussed in the community. I would really appreciate your thoughts in the comments below.
I personally think that cringe compilations are either unintentional or intentional insults to artists. It all depends on the person "critiques" on the art pieces. The person behind the YouTube account may be a good person at heart. But the way they describe the im

[Tutorial] How to set up and handle commissions
Updated 11 November 2020
This is directed mostly towards digital/traditional artists, but also literature artists!
At some point in your artistic life, you might want to start earning a bit of extra money from the work that you love to do; yet I see that many people struggle with commissions, especially in the beginning. Thus I decided to write this little "How to" journal, where I share my own experience.
1. When do I start to do commissions?
Whenever you want to, and especially, whenever you feel comfortable doing so! Especially that last part is important. I remember lots of people asking me if I were doing commissions years ago, and I

Today my friend Brianna and I went to our city's Zoo and since it's summer vacation, there were A LOT of children there. There were like five different groups of kids going on a field trip, so the Zoo was packed. Anyway Brianna and I were walking along the park and next to us was one of the employees working as a tour-guide to one of the field-trip groups, and they stop in front of an exhibit. Well this exhibit was completely empty with nothing but your average squirrel eating an acorn. So I walked on over to the employee with the children and said:
"If you look over to your left, you will see the majestic squirrel in its natural habitat."
